Christmas Time!

This Christmas Jamie's parents flew in to spend the week with us. It was so neat to see Ava and Zack warm up to them so quickly. They are so fun and easy to have around we wish they could stay longer. For a special treat Jamie set up the tent in the backyard for the girls to campout over the break. The most fun was bundling inside and playing cards. Christmas Eve dinner this year was at Chick Fil A and family favorite.

Then my Mom and Dad also drove in town! So they came with LeeAnn and we went to see some amazing ginerbread houses, ride on a Christmas train, see Santa and listne to some caroling. It was such a treat to get to have both sets of grandparents with us on Christmas Eve and then Christmas day. We were very spoiled to have them all here!

Santa Came and everyone was good this year!

After church, LeeAnn and Grandma and Grandpa came over for a delicous turkey dinner and games all day!

The rest of the week went by all too fast! We spent a lot of time playing outside, going to the movies, shopping, eating, decorating rooms, playing games, enjoying being together.

We love you all come back soon!!

Preping for Christmas

I love preparing for Christmas...here are just a few things we did Jamie's homemade Christmas ornament party, making gingerbread houses, the temple lights, piano rectial, Christmas dinner, and girls scouts parties

Thanksgiving

The drive was long, but the kids did great, and it was well worth the all too short visit! The weather was perfect for walking around the lake and playing kick the can. We had big family dinners and watched The Polar Express.

Then we headed up to the cabin for the big Thanksgiving dinner. I love being at the cabin where we all stay together and the kids can go outside and play as long as they want. This year we had our first annual family turley trop before the feast, and it was everyones favorite part of the day.

Sisters and Mom

The food this year was the best I remember. Turkey, ham, orange and grapefruit salad, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls, green beans, cranberries, and all the pie you could wish for.

We then exchanged Christmas gifts early.

And the trip to the cabin wouldn't be complete without a work day. We had so much fun working together clearing out a big trail to plant more pine trees.

All the cousins

Soon to be best buddies Zack and Gunner!!

My Boys are off to Virginia!

Jamie's cousin David was getting married, and they live close to his sister Lara so the whole family was going to be together, so Jamie decided to fly with Zack and visit with everyone. The place ride was a LONG one, but Jamie is pretty amazing and made it all 5 hours alone with Zack. They all took very good care of my little Zack, and had so much fun being together. Next time we all get to come!

Happy Halloween!

This year Jamie and I dressed up like legos. We stole the idea from LeeAnn's ragnar race, and it was an easy fun one.

The ward switched things up this year and had a carnival/ho down instead of the traditional trunk r treat, and it was a big success!! They played tons of games, won candy, ate hot dogs, and danced.

And these girls really know how to dance!!

Then the big night of trick or treating. LeeAnn came up and everyone met at our house so that we could all go through the haunted house in our nieghborhood. I think the costumes this year were some of the BeST!! Georgia was a flapper, Macie was a rocker skeleton, Ava was a witch, and Zack was a skeleton.

The loot was BIG!

Dallin's visit

Lucky for us my brother Dallin's Fall break was the week after ours, and he drove down for a few days. It was so much fun! We hit the lake and he showed off his skills.

We had fun hanging out at home; we played the old paper bag game and he stumped us all with the riddles he learned while river rafting over the summer. We even carved our pumpkin.

Thanks for coming out we hope you come back soon!!
