The drive was long, but the kids did great, and it was well worth the all too short visit! The weather was perfect for walking around the lake and playing kick the can. We had big family dinners and watched The Polar Express.
Then we headed up to the cabin for the big Thanksgiving dinner. I love being at the cabin where we all stay together and the kids can go outside and play as long as they want. This year we had our first annual family turley trop before the feast, and it was everyones favorite part of the day.

The food this year was the best I remember. Turkey, ham, orange and grapefruit salad, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, stuffing, rolls, green beans, cranberries, and all the pie you could wish for. 
We then exchanged Christmas gifts early. 
And the trip to the cabin wouldn't be complete without a work day. We had so much fun working together clearing out a big trail to plant more pine trees.

Yes!! You updated!! I have been missing pictures of your family!! Glad you had a great Christmas and so much fun with your family! Love the pictures from Thanksgiving too!! especially the last one with Gunner and Zack! Miss you sis!!
