Flagstaff is dead to me!

Looks like a great place to play in the snow Macie. Georgia, what a beautiful, secluded and safe place to enjoy nature.

I gotta know. Who let you out on the freeway in the middle of winter? You did Daddy. Remember, you said "We can make it to Flagstaff, it's just an Arizona blizzard." Oh yeah, I guess I deserve those snow balls.Dear Daddy,

Thanks for the wonderful trip to Flagstaff. We really enjoyed sitting in the car not moving for 6.5 hours. We learned how loud Ava can scream when the DVD player breaks and she can't get her Elmo. We loved it when you turn off the car so we wouldn't run out of gas and it go really cold. Sorry for complaining for two hours that we had to pee before we had the courage to squat in front of the many onlookers in the middle of the median. Remember when it got really late and dark and colder, and we still hadn't move an inch? Well, that was our second favorite part. Peeing in the snow, umm...probably favorite.

We are thinking of getting T-shirts made that say "I survived the I-17 Blizzard and all I got was this UGLY SNOWMAN!"

Top of Daisy Mountain

Georgia, Macie and I decided to hit the trails Saturday and climb to the top of Daisy Mountain. The four wheelers did some of the work but our legs did the rest.

A little lunch break and some fun. You can tell we had See-food for lunch. Nice view of Indian Head Mountain in the distance...well, that's what we call it.

Did you know there is a flag on the top of Daisy Mountain, and a book to write your name and message on? We left a nice message for all, it reads "What took you so long?". Georgia's on top of the world. She wanted to run the whole way up and down.

Macie, You Made IT!!! She thought she wouldn't make it but kept on pushing through the pain. How's that knee?Just imagine the Rocky theme song playing.

Thanksgiving Visit

Jamie's mom and dad came for a week and a half to visit over Thanksgiving. We had such a great time! The dinner was amazing, and we had left overs for days after (which I love). The girls used their table setting skills and decorated us a beautiful table with name tags and all.

After the feast we all played games and hung our until dessert when the Stanley's brought over a German Chocolate cake to eat along with our apple, peanut butter and of course pumpkin pies!

After Thanksgiving we kept busy with tons of projects around the house. It was so great. Georgia was like, "Wow Grandmom and Granddad you guys know how to make everything!" And they really can they are very handy and creative. Thanks so much the place looks great.

Dad hung some beautiful shades in our kitchen. I also found all these little projects he took on without me knowing like fixing the shelf in a closet, fixing a missing door knob, touching up ceiling paint...

Mom brought the cutest material for quilt tops. Then she took the girls to JoAnns and let them pick out the softest backing and taught them how to make a quilt they turned out so adorable!

Saddle Club

Caitlin and Jen invited us to join them for the Saddle club this month. The girls all had so much fun petting and feeding the animals, going on the hay ride, and playing games.

They gave the kids a little bag of trail mix on the hay ride. We let Ava eat hers on the way home and didn't motice the M&Ms in the bag until we saw this cutest little chocolate face -MMmmmm good!

Veteran's Day

Luckily it was perfect weather to be outside!!

You'd be amazed at what you can find on a big dirt pile, and how many fun games you can play with all that great stuff!

Our Happenings...

Happy Halloween!! This year Georgia chose to be a Hippie with an afro, Macie was a pretty purple fairy, and Ava was an Auburn Cheerleader (Thanks for the costume Lara!). What a cute group of Trick or Treaters!! We loved being in our new neighborhood this year. There is a house that goes ALL out and does a haunted house - it was amazing! Tons of trick or treaters and decked out homes. We had to drag the kids home - Lots of Fun!!

Our community has a big Veterans Day parade. I wasn't sure how Ava would do, but she loved watching and waving at all the people.

The great group of friends we were with made it all the more fun too.

Ava got a new book case and a bean bag in her room. It was so cute she sat down and put her baby on her lap and started read her books.

The girl's room has a new look! Jamie's mom sent these great bed spreads and curtains!

And I found the perfect bookcase for their room at IKEA. I love that store.
