An Easter Weekend

This was our first Easter in our house, and the Easter bunny did a good job of really hiding those baskets, but the girls worked together and they were all found as well as a ton of candy eggs. Ava LOVED all the treats - it was actually a little bit miserable for her because all she wanted to do all day was eat candy and she was crying every time she finished a piece and couldn't have another one so we had to hide all of the candy after it had already been found.
LeeAnn brought some friends over for conference, dinner, fun outside, and egg coloring.
Dinner was delcious...mom's BBQ, twice baked potatoes, sweet potatoes, salad and angle food cake and berry dessert.
I love that LeeAnn lives so close (thanks for those bunny ears on Eatser Macie :)

We got pretty fancy with the color mixing.
A little bit backwards, but Saturday during the sessions Jamie took us out to this little hidden river and beach he found biking. Besides the rough road to get there it was so much fun!
Sand
lounging and eating
swimming!

What an awesome weekend! That little river place looks awesome- was it near to Anthem? And what a yummy spread for Easter dinner. :) Asher had the same problem as Ava with the candy. He would open eggs that were emptied of candy and just start sobbing!

I love your girls wearing the Easter ears, how cute are they? I will be copying that next year for sure. And my mouth is watering for those twice baked potatoes right now....you always say you can't cook, kind of like you can't play the piano, is that the way it is? I'm on to you....

We need to hit that river again or whatever other secret spot you two have up your sleeve. Tell James I'll even bring him a chair:)
