The first month of school the nurse must go through boxes of band aides for the kindergartner's blisters! They get them because the cool thing to do at recess is play on the monkey bars. I think Macie has been a dozen times. The other day I counted 9 blisters on her hands. I have tried to talk her into avoiding the monkey bars and playing something else, but she'd rather suffer through the blisters than stop crossing the monkey bars!

Hey - are those Dylan's hands? His look the same and I tried to give him the same advice. He MUST do the monkey bars!
I believe that it is a right of passage to do the monkey bars in kindergarten. Doesn't every five year old have hands like this??

Gracie has graduated to callouses now. That school nurse must be a very sweet person. Gracie goes to see her all the time!
