I love my Daddy!

This morning Ava and I were sitting together drinking our breakfast smoothies, and I leaned over and said, "Ava, I love you!" Then she leaned over to me and said, "Mommy, I love my Daddy!"

I love Him too!!

The In Between on Conference Weekend

It had been too long so we pulled out the 4 wheelers and went riding. Georgia moved up from the pink 4 wheeler and drove the big blue one for the first time. She felt so grown up, and did a great job. Maybe too good because she and Jamie had so much confidence that when it was dark and Jamie was loading everything up he let Georgia take Macie on one last ride. Then from the top of a hill we heard the girls screaming for Dad!! Jamie had to go running over and save them (they couldn't see well enough and felt like they were going to fall off the hill). Next time no riding in the dark, on the hills, esp alone!
Macie is taking over the pink 4 wheeler - Watch out here she comes!
Ava loves to ride too. She was a little hesitant at first but after the first ride she didn't want to get off.
And we had to go and get one of the girls favorite treats after - slushy drinks.
Just for fun...me at 21 weeks (although Georgia let me know on Sunday that I'm already bigger than this).
Georgia's girl scout troop participated in the walk for breast cancer. Georgia ran a lot of the way - it was our first race together :).

Georgia has started playing volleyball, and she loVeS it! Breanna is on her team which makes it even more fun (for me too :).

We have a few traditions that have started, first cinnamon rolls and juice for breakfast.
Lots of treats during, the girls spend lots of time making conference bingo sheets from the talks, and we BBQ for dinner.

Hungry?

Since school started, I have been trying to be better at cooking dinner. I have been trying to meal plan and cook new recipes, and to be honest not all of the recipes have turned out, but the past 2 days were a success....
Jamie loved the BBQ Brisket I cooked on Sunday! And today LeeAnn came over and we cooked all afternoon!
Peaches were on sale so we decided we wanted to make peach freezer jam. Then we were feeling like we needed some really yummy bread to put the jam on so we made Mom's famous french bread. Then we needed a dinner to go with the bread so we made Emily's delicious cheesy potatoe corn chowder. It was a hit!
Then tomorrow I have a recipe exchange and the theme is breads and muffins so I made this braided cream cheese bread after I put the kids down.

Kind of feeling domestic :)

Someone's 10!!

Happy Birthday Georgia!! Wow Georgia turned 10 years old! (What are we going to do for next years picture when she can't hold up 11 fingers....she'll have to stay 10 forever? )
Breakfast choice....sausage rolls AND bacon egg and cheese bisquits. At first I said no you can't have 2 main dishes for breaksfast, but Dad came to her rescue and let me know it IS her birthday so she can have whatever she wants (and I wonder why he's the favorite).
This year she asked for clothes and her new room. Because the baby is coming, and will all too soon take over Ava's nursery we decided to do a little room switching early. We painted the downstairs room, redid the bedding, and let Georgia have her own room.

That night we met LeeAnn at Outback for a delicious birthday dinner!Jello Cheery Cheese cake for dessert.
Then a week later we had her birthday party with her friends. She invited 6 girls and we took them to Wet N Wild. I of course was so busy putting sunscreen on everyone and gathering all the stuff that I forgot to take my camera :(, but all the girls had a great time and were lots of fun!We came home after for cupcakes and gifts.
Happy Birthday Georgia!! I hope all your wishes come true!!

JONAS!

So I heard through the grapevine that you could get cheap Jonas Brothers tickets...When I told the girls, they were really excited. We filled Riley's van and all headed down. It was so much fun! LoVED Bree's Jonas sign!
We had lawn seats so the girls could snack on all the candy, dance all around, lounge in Camie's rocking chairs, and sing to their hearts desire.

These girls know how to have a good time!

Jamie's TRI!

Saturday Jamie raced in his first TRi, and he did awesome! I was disappointed in the photos I took but here's the best I've got...
LeeAnn came up and we took the girls and Drew and Elle and the great posters they made and cheered Jamie and Justin on! Here is Jamie running (he is in the grey shirt behind the guy it looks like I'm taking a picture of).
I totally missed the photo opp of him biking because he changed his shirt and when I recognized him I didn't have time to get a picture, but he looked GooD! And here are Georgia and Ava cheering him on in the pool. Ava loved being a cheerleader, she was loud and proud!
Way to Go Jamie! I hope you keep it up and we can start running together :)
