Christmas

This Christmas all the Vallerys came to visit.  It was so fun to have the entire family together again.  Christmas Eve was full of tradition and fun.  We went to the temple lights (Ava got lost for a few minutes but luckily we found her pretty quick - phew).

All the cousins together Connor, McCord, Macie, Georgia, Zack and Ava
After the lights, a little Mexican food at Manuels seemed like the perfect place to stop for dinner - it was delicious!
When we got home, we sat together and read the Christmas story in the Bible and then the kids opened their Christmas Eve pajamas and had their picture in front of the tree before heading to bed to do their best to fall alseep on such an exciting night!

Christmas morning all the kids ready to go and see if Santa came to visit.
And Santa came for sure and brought lots of fun gifts.  Georgia, Macie and I made Ava, (her doll Laney Grace), and Zack matching super hero capes!  Ava also got a horse for her doll, some toys and clothes.
Zack got lots of cars and toys and candy.
Georgia and Macie scored with ipods! Georgia also got some converse, a fancy toothbrush, clothes...
Macie got this cool sweatshirt, toys and more clothes...
The boys got an ipad, some cool clothes, a watch...

We had our traditional scones, eggs, and bacon for breakfast so good!!
LeeAnn and Dan came up to celebrate with for Christmas dinner.  We played games and with all of our new Christmas toys.
 The whole Christmas crew

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving this year Dallin, Jared, Sawyer, and Harrison all drove down to visit, and it was so much fun for LeeAnn and our families to have them here!!  We had more to do than time to do it all.  We went and saw a movie.
We went to LeeAnn and Dan's and had a great bbq, played mini golf, baggo, and roasted marshmallows.

Dallin and Zack were buddies in their cowboy boots!!
Thanksgiving dinner was at our house.  We cooked, and cooked, and cooked!!  We had delicious appetizers, a full turkey dinner and lots of dessert to choose from.

Jared brought all their bikes down too.  They had 4 bikes all different sizes and it was such a treat to be able to have so many bikes to ride.  It was the first time anyone in our family except for Jamie has ever ridden a bike before.  And after riding Georgia wanted one for Christmas (sorry Georgia, maybe they will come out and visit again soon).

(yes even I got to learn...and it was so fun!)

Thanks for coming it was just too short I hope you get to come back and visit again soon!!

Volleyball

Macie and Aspen were on the same volleyball team this fall, and had so much fun playing together.  They almost enjoyed it as much as teatherball at school :).  Their team was hard to beat way to go girls!

Cross Country

Georgia joined the school cross country team this fall.  It was her first season of cross country and her first time to play sports for her school, and it was a great experience.  She ran well every race, and at the end of the season she was awarded the best runner award for the middle school girls team!

Fall Break

This Fall break we went to to visit Grandmom and Granddad in the south.  We bought tickets and took Georgia, Macie, and Granddad to a football game.  It was so fun to be in the big stadium with all the excitment.  I loved the south with all the girls in their blue and orange dresses and cowboy boots!  It made me want to run out and buy some too.  We ate nachos and hot dogs and had a great time.  After the game, we met up with Uncle Glen and Jamie's cousin Georgia.  It was my first time to meet Georgia and good to see Uncle Glen again.
We spent lots of time outside in the backyard fishing, paddle boating, hiking, playing ball, having a fire and marshmallows, playing with Samson and pulling kids in the wagon.
They even caught a fish this year!!

After a few days, we decided to drive out to the cabin in North Carolina.  All of the leaves were just beginning to change colors and it was breathtaking!  I have never been out East in the mountains that are so dense with trees!  It was amazing.  The whole time we were there I felt like I had in a Southern Living magazine.  We stopped at little pottery shops, and a big apple orchard and ate the most delicious apple turn overs, and muffins and cider.  We went on a walk around a lake in the neighborhood and the homes were so beautiful set in all the trees.

An amazing trip!
