Aspen Grove 2012

This is a trip I have Tons of pictures from and want to save them all.  It is the highlight of vacations for my kids - we go every other year and this year seemed to top them all. So there will be lots of pictures, and multiple posts...hope it doesnt bore you.

We found ourselves hanging out by the swings in between events because everyone could have fun there.
Ellie
Macie
Me and Jamie
Emily, Abigail, and Bekah
Lydia, Anna, Gord, and Dallin
Linnae and Jared
Georgia and Zack
These crazy girls started some serious climbing competions, and uncle Dan showed us some crazy sideways climbing too.

Here is the one picture we have inside our small cabin where our family all cuddled for the week.  One queen bed and two sets of bunk beds...nice and cozy, and an outside bathroom to share.
Paintball with all the guys (and LeeAnn).  I honestly cant remember which team won but there was lots of fireing!
The ropes course - I must admit im getting a little better at each year, but my stomach still gets all knotted up before I have to climb that rock wall and then that wooden pole before we even begin to get across the ropes.
Jamie
LeeAnn and Dan
Georgia and Jacob were old enough to do the ropes course!!
And yes she made the course look pretty easy!
Macie and Richie were the pros on the rock wall!
To the tip top every time (and Richie were you sneaking in a few extra turns? :) I love it!

Aunt Sharon threw LeeAnn an amazing wedding shower!  It was s fun to see so much of our extended family and celebrate LeeAnn's wedding!

Evans Cabin 2

These girls were hard to keep up with; they were always off having fun.

Here is a river hike in action.  It is such a good thing they have a washer and dryer because they always came in wet and dirty!
There is no tv so when we are inside it is all about games, food, or napping.
The swings and seesaw are used by every age.

I hope we get to go back again soon!!

Evans Cabin 1

Before Aspen Grove we decided to take a few days and stay at the Evans cabin.  Every time I go I wish I could go more.  It is a slice of Heaven so beautiful, peaceful and full of fun!  This year the river water was down so we spent lots of time hiking, playing and throwing rocks in it.  The older kids went off and played for hours.

Zack and Ava must have thrown a hundred rocks in the river.

We also went to visit the horses a couple times a day.  They are so friendly and always came over to lets us pet them.

The Grand Canyon

Emily and I took the kids and both our cars and drove to the Grand Canyon on our way up to the family reunion.  We were a little worried about how tall the canyon is and the kids falling ect, but they were all great and safe and we had a good time.  It was truly AMAZING!!  Next time though we will skip the IMAX movie.

Happy 4th of July

This 4th of July celebration was on the 3rd of July which is also Emily's birthday!  All the kids had this great idea to throw her a surprise birthday party.  So we got a pinate, made some chocolate lava cupcakes, and went to the firework show.  It was lots of fun!  Happy birthday Em we love you!!

We also made these cute festive shirts for Ava and Bekah to wear.
