Macie's Piano Recital

Macie has worked hard this year with me learning piano.  She memorized Surprise Symphony and Rocket Boogie for her recital.  The Dents are so nice to include us in their annual Spring recital.

Macie turns 9!!

Happy 9th birthday Macie!! When breakfast was ready, Macie walked into the kitchen all dressed and ready for school. So she quickly jumped back in bed, and with Ava right next to her, enjoyed her bacon egg and cheese bisquit.
We opened her presents before school and she even had time to go out and test out her new ripstick before we headed out. She is a natural!
After school we went swimming at the rec center with Breanna, and ate her dinner choice of mango salsa tacos and cherry cheese cake yum!!Then Saturday we set up for the big party!! This year we decided to go on a hunt around town. I made clues which were like little riddles that the girls had to solve too figure out where we needed to go next. At each stop they received a letter with the next clue. We got the first clue and then piled in the cars with an awsome soundtrack Georgia made especially for the ride (thanks Peach).
Some clues were harder than others, but they figured each one out (notice Macie's awsome socks her Aunt Lara gave her for her present - she saw Macie eyeing while she was here last...Macie has been wearing them all weekend :)
The girls had a lot of fun playing at each stop too!

And what as the final treasure you ask?....The donut shop was closed when we could have the party so I ordered these big cake size donuts and had them at the house. We ate them with some hotdogs and watermelon.

These girls were so much fun!!
We love how fun loving you are, your amazing sense of fashion, and your peace making spirit. Happy Birthday Macie!!

Fourteen Months!

He is obsessed with shoes, mostly his dads, he will wear them on his feet or hands or often times both. He will blow kisses now, pat his head, wiggle his ears, shake, give you five, he loves to dance, he is always waving and saying "Hi" or "Bye" to everyone he sees (all the old ladies in grocery store love it!), his vocab is growing too fast ball, dog, Georgia (he calls all 3 sisters "Doeda"), light, more, uh oh!, go...He is one happy littel boy I just wish I could slow all of this down but since I can't I'm trying to soak him in the best I can!

Easter Sunday

The kids woke up early to find their baskets hidden, and candy all over to collect! Once Zack discovered that candy was in the eggs, he stay down and started eating right away - he loves chocolate!Georgia has always loved her M&mnmnmnms.

Then after being asked the night before by Jamie, "Do we even have a waffle iron" I thought I would treat the family to homemade waffles for Easter breakfast - they were a hit; maybe we will make them part of the Easter traditions. Sunday before church. The kids looked so nice in their new Sunday best.
I loved Ava giving herself bunny ears to help celebrate . After church, we had a family lesson on Easter. Ava's Sunbeam teacher Sister Jackson had done some amazing teaching before and Ava was able to tell us all about Christs week of Easter. I love all the kids great primary teachers! Then we had a delicious dinner at the Smiths.
Some serious catch phrase, which somehow the boys ended up winning. And one last eggs hunt!
HAPPY EASTER!

Conference Weekend

It started out Friday night with these amazing boy scouts coming over after some serious hiking. They camped out in the backyard and then came in for Saturday morning conference.
Saturday night during Priesthood session the kids and I headed to the park with a pizza. The kids played lots of fun game games...redrover, tag, sharks and minows
While the moms and babies got some good talking in, and did our best to stay away from the scorpion!
Sunday morning more conference fun began with cinnamon rolls, conference bingo, coloring, candy, hair dues, and more.

This year we also had some fun April foolsing going on orange (jello) drinks, paper fudge, treats from who?
and the girls got Jamie with a colored coin down his face.
And we ended our night with a walk to the swing park - a Sunday favorite.
